Marmosets
are the smallest of the New World monkeys, living in the low branches
of the trees in the rain forest. They are very high strung and alert,
and they make lots of noise as they jump from branch to branch.
They eat insects, fruits, and seeds.
Some
varieties of marmoset are about the size of rats, while others,
like the Pygmy marmoset, are no bigger than a mouse. When a marmoset
gets angry, its hair stands on end and it screams
