The
loris is a nocturnal animal that feeds on large mollusks, birds,
insects, and fruit. Lorises generally move slowly and regularly,
but can move very quickly when striking to kill their prey. The
name loris comes from the Dutch word meaning 'clown', and it's probably
because they have round faces and large eyes that they got that
name.
Lorises live
in Southeast Asia and Indonesia. They are nocturnal animals, who
climb through the trees very slowly, in search of their small prey.
Sometimes a loris hangs by its feet, freeing up its hands to catch
insects
