Golden Lion Tamarin
|
Tamarins
are a small New World monkey, noted for their colorful, silky coats
and strange hairstyles. Different varieties of Tamarin live in different
locations in Central and South America. Tamarins
are omnivorous, feeding on fruits, insects, and small animals.
Due to the
cutting of the rain forest, tamarins are a critically endangered
species. You can read more about the efforts to save one species
of tamarin at this site: Golden
